Panama strengthens its leadership in aeronautical education with the creation of the Bachelor's Degree in Aeronautical Sciences, a unique academic proposal for the training of professional pilots. The new program is driven by the Panamanian Union of Commercial Pilots (UNPAC) in conjunction with the University of Panama through its Faculty of Engineering. It aims to elevate the academic level of the aeronautical sector, aligning pilot training with the highest international standards. The program is focused on the comprehensive training of sector leaders, with technical, strategic, and management competencies. It incorporates key areas such as aviation safety and navigation, facilitation of aviation, environment and aeronautical economy, as well as technological innovation, artificial intelligence, and automation. This academic offering represents a significant advance for national and regional aviation, consolidating Panama as a benchmark for education and talent development for 21st-century aviation.
