The President of the Republic, José Raúl Mulino, arrived today in the city of Davos, Switzerland, to participate in the largest event for business and government leaders, the World Economic Forum (WEF), where international changes are discussed, solutions are proposed, and guidelines for new global investments are established. Additionally, meetings are scheduled between President Mulino and representatives of multinational corporations and international financial organizations such as Citi bank, the shipping company Maersk, the Inter-American Development Bank (BID), and WEF executives. The delegation led by President Mulino also includes the Ministers of Economy and Finance, Felipe Chapman; of the Canal, José Ramón Icaza; of Commerce and Industries, Julio Moltó, and Kristel Getzler, Secretary of Economic Affairs and Competitiveness of the Presidency. The Panamanian leader, accompanied by the First Lady, Maricel Cohen de Mulino, and the Chancellor, Javier Martínez Acha, will develop a three-day work agenda at the World Economic Forum, with the aim of promoting and securing strategic investments for Panama in sectors such as energy and logistics. The WEF organization anticipates the attendance of 64 heads of state and more than 3,000 political and business leaders from 130 countries at the event, which this year has the motto 'Spirit of Dialogue'. Likewise, meetings are planned with energy, logistics, and port companies, such as the Emirati port and logistics solutions company DP World, and the American AES. For this purpose, meetings have been coordinated with the heads of state of Switzerland, Singapore, the Netherlands, Ecuador, and Austria.
