Panama Labor Market Report: Salaries and Gender Gap in 2025

According to the latest Labor Market Report from Konzerta, Panama's leading employment portal, the average salary requested by Panamanians in December closed at USD $1,068. Throughout 2025, the requested salary showed an accumulated annual increase of 1.82%. In December, the average salary for supervisor and head positions was USD $1,376, with a monthly decrease of 2.17%; for the Semi-Senior and Senior segments, it was USD $1,122, an increase of 0.84% from the previous month. For the Junior segment, the requested salary was USD $772, a decrease of 2.34% compared to November. Over the past year, the largest increase in requested salary compared to the previous month was recorded in January with a 2.14% increase, followed by May with 1.97% and June with 1.85%. In December, marked differences in salary expectations were recorded based on seniority and gender. While the positions with the highest demands across different segments were: Infrastructure, Treasury, Operations, and Information Technologies, noted Jeff Alejandro Morales, Marketing Manager of Konzerta. The highest salaries required for head and supervisor positions were recorded in January for Infrastructure at USD $3,000 per month; for Semi-Senior and Senior levels in February for Treasury at USD $2,500; and for the Junior segment, February for Operations and May for Information Technology stood out with a salary of USD $1,150. The lowest salaries required were recorded in October for Waiters at USD $765 per month for the head/supervisor segment; and in July for Maintenance and Cleaning at USD $630 for the Junior segment. In December, the gender salary gap widened to 7.14% in favor of men, the highest percentage of the year.
