According to the Social Security Fund (CSS), the mentioned irregularities were detected thanks to the implementation of 'Mi Caja Digital,' as 'the platform allowed to cross-key information, such as credited quotas compared to pension records.' According to the CSS, this call is reiterated after the complaint filed by the CSS with the Public Ministry, for alleged multimillion-dollar fraud in the irregular granting of pensions. It should be remembered that Mi Caja Digital is an online platform developed by the CSS that allows insured persons to consult their contributions, work history, calculate their pension, download forms and booklets, and manage various procedures without the need to go to an office. Some 800,000 people have already registered on the Mi Caja Digital platform, a tool that, according to the Social Security Fund, allows real-time verification of quotas, salaries, and work history. 'It is important to enter the platform and verify that all quotas are correctly credited, in order to avoid inconsistencies that may affect future procedures, especially those related to pensions,' highlights the Social Security Fund. Similarly, the CSS informed that it has enabled 10 attention windows for 'Mi Retiro Seguro' at the Institute of Workers' Health (former Renta 5, Calidonia), where specialized personnel guides in the correct use of Mi Caja Digital. To enter, the insured must go to the website micajadigital.css.gob.pa and log in with their ID card number and previously registered password. 'To date, 52 cases have been identified, with an estimated economic impact of 3 to 4 million dollars. If the anomaly had not been detected and payments suspended, the damage could have amounted to 10 million dollars in the coming years,' the institution assures.
