The Ministry of Social Development (MIDES) has confirmed the start of the first social payment of 2026. The disbursement will reach B/.54 million for vulnerable people across the country. These funds are destined to reinforce social support programs that reach thousands of families in different regions of the country. The money will be delivered in two modalities. The first corresponds to beneficiaries who collect via the Social Key card, who will receive the payment from March 9 to 20. This system allows withdrawing money from ATMs or using it directly for purchases in authorized businesses. The measure is part of the mechanism the Government uses to distribute monetary transfers to those within the assistance programs. The second modality is the Conditional Cash Transfer (CMT), aimed at beneficiaries who receive support through community payment days. Thousands of Panamanians who depend on state aid have started to look at the payment calendar.
