The Panamanian Association of Business Executives (APEDE) warned that reducing state bureaucracy is key to accelerating investments and generating more jobs in Panama. In its statement 'La Voz de APEDE,' the president of the guild, Giulia De Sanctis, pointed out that many projects are delayed due to procedures, permits, and administrative processes that take longer than necessary to resolve. According to the business community, when procedures become slow or unpredictable, investments are postponed, and with them, job opportunities for Panamanians are also delayed. APEDE recalled that although the country maintains advantages such as its geographical location and service-based economy, it is necessary to modernize public administration, digitize procedures, and simplify processes to improve the investment climate. The guild reiterated its willingness to work with the Government to promote reforms that facilitate the arrival of new investments and contribute to generating more employment in the country.
