The Ministry of Housing and Land Use Planning (Miviot) handed over 75 new homes to families residing in the Santa Isabel district in the province of Colón. This delivery, which ends years of waiting for housing solutions, was led by Minister Jaime A. Jové, along with Deputy Ministers Frank Osorio and Alcibiades Pinzón. The new structures will benefit approximately 400 people distributed in the districts of Santa Isabel, Palmira, and Nombre de Dios. With an approximate investment of 1.8 million balboas, the National Government is positively impacting the Santa Isabel community in the Costa Arriba region of Colón. The event was also attended by Siria de Córdoba, representative of the district, and the Vice Mayor of Santa Isabel, Hernán Espino. The head of the ministry highlighted that these works offer a new beginning for citizens who lacked access to financing or adequate roofs, reaffirming the state's commitment to ensuring health, education, and security through housing. During the official event, it was reported that the investment for this delivery in the province of Colón amounts to an estimated 1 million 875 thousand balboas. Jové emphasized that the current administration is in the process of rescuing projects that were abandoned or delayed, with the goal of completing them and delivering them to the population. As part of the visit, the authorities toured the local library, an infoplaza, and the area's school to firsthand evaluate the additional needs of the Caribbean community. Each housing solution consists of two bedrooms, a living-dining room, a kitchen, and a hygienic bathroom.
