The Budget Commission approved various proposals in an extensive meeting on October 29. On the other hand, the defense of the former mayor of Panama, Bosco Vallarino, announced that they will request to replace the 48-month prison sentence with days of fines.
According to lawyer Héctor Bonilla, the request will be presented during a hearing scheduled for October 31. In this regard, Bonilla stated: "We are working to request that the penalty imposed on our client be replaced by days of fines."
