Panama has updated the regulation of the electronic data registration system for vessels to contribute to the modernization and efficiency in the registration and collection of information on board Panamanian-flagged ships.
The new regulation aims to facilitate and expedite electronic data registration processes, allowing vessels to comply with regulations more effectively. This update is part of the country's efforts to maintain high quality standards in its maritime fleet, which is one of the most important globally.
"With this new regulation, we seek to promote the adoption of technologies that improve data management on board ships, which will result in greater maritime safety and more efficient operations," stated a representative of the Panamanian maritime authority.
