MIDA Guarantees Safety of Panamanian Pineapples

The Ministry of Agricultural Development of Panama (MIDA) has certified the safety of a shipment of pineapples that are ready to be exported to Spain. A total of 1,575 boxes of pineapples have been inspected and comply with all established export standards.

According to MIDA authorities, these pineapples meet the quality and food safety standards required for export to international markets, in this case, destined for Spain. The safety certification guarantees that the fruits are free of pesticide residues and any other harmful substances for consumer health.

"We are committed to ensuring that the agricultural products we export meet the highest quality standards. In this case, the Panamanian pineapples that will be sent to Spain have undergone rigorous quality controls to ensure their safety," said a representative of MIDA.

Such measures are essential to strengthen the reputation of Panamanian products in the international market and ensure the confidence of foreign consumers in the quality of the fruit produced in the country. The export of pineapples is an important driver for the Panamanian economy and the safety certification by MIDA is a key step to maintain the presence of these products in demanding markets like the Spanish.
