The Copa Airlines flight CM196, operating on the route Panama City – Nassau (Bahamas), had to make an emergency landing after reporting a failure in engine number 2 of the aircraft. The Panama Civil Aviation Authority (AAC) reported that on the morning of Monday, November 10, 2025, the aircraft's captain had to declare an aerial emergency following this incident. All 107 passengers and crew are safe and landed at Gustavo Rojas Pinilla airport, located on the island of San Andrés, Colombia. The maneuver was carried out safely at 9:45 a.m. Subsequently, the necessary technical information is being gathered to determine the cause of the failure and establish the corresponding actions.
