Panamanian singer-songwriter Erika Ender spent a night full of memories at the Latin Grammy's Person of the Year gala, where the music industry celebrated Raphael's career, and colleagues and guests paid tribute by performing his songs.

Ender, who was part of the event, said the experience was particularly special for her. She recalled her childhood, listening to Raphael's records and reading lyrics written by the legendary composer Manuel Alejandro, figures she said sparked her passion for songwriting.

"That's where I understood what a composer does and I fell in love with writing," she expressed.

During the gala, Ender met with colleagues and friends she has known for over three decades in the industry. She also highlighted the significance of having "a little piece of Panama" present at the ceremony, represented by Mayer Mizrachi, David Benaim, and Luis Mouynes, who attended the event.

"Every time we are more," she said, moved.

Ender described the evening as "a beautiful, sincere night, full of moments that stay with you."
