The Ministry of Education (Meduca) plans to hand over six new schools next week in the Ngäbe-Buglé region. These educational facilities, which had been abandoned, have been reactivated and are located in the communities of Llano Iglesia, Alto Bonito, Alto Calabacito, Cerro Patena, Cerro Madera, and Cerro Balsa. Meduca has been working on the rehabilitation and improvement of educational infrastructure in various areas of the country, and the Ngäbe-Buglé region has been no exception. Through a series of infrastructure, maintenance, and equipment projects, the ministry aims to ensure a quality education for students in these rural and hard-to-reach areas. The process of reactivating the projects began a few months ago and is aligned with Meduca's plans to strengthen educational infrastructure nationwide. In fact, at the beginning of 2025, the ministry had already issued orders to proceed with various works in educational centers, both in the Ngäbe-Buglé region and in other parts of the country, with a significant investment in resources and materials.
