Nestlé, in partnership with the Municipality of San Miguelito, announced the rehabilitation of the Santa Librada court, located in the district, a space destined to benefit more than 300 children, youth, and families in the area.
This work is part of the company's commitment to the comprehensive development of communities and the promotion of active lifestyles. The court's development materializes as a tangible result of the Nestlé ¡Qué Rico! Cup, a sporting initiative that promotes family integration around football and healthy eating.
This action is part of a broader cooperation agreement between Nestlé and the Municipality of San Miguelito. The Nestlé Panama Manager also added that the alliance also facilitates logistical coordination and the participation of district families in the initiatives the company develops.
Physical activity in safe spaces, such as community courts, is crucial for the development of children and youth, as it promotes their physical and emotional growth, improving their coordination, strength, concentration, and general well-being.
As a leader in Nutrition, Health and Wellness, Nestlé is committed to incorporating programs that address the mental health and comprehensive well-being of children and youth. The agreement is aimed at strengthening nutritional education, promoting active lifestyles, and creating safe environments that encourage the physical, social, and emotional growth of children and youth in the district.
Rodrigo Romero, General Manager of Nestlé Panama, expressed his satisfaction with the impact of the sports tournament and the agreement.
