The police series 'Una vida menos en Canarias' debuts on Atreseries Internacional on November 25, marking this month's exclusive premiere for the entire region. Despite their differences and rivalries, the two main characters must form an effective team to solve crimes. The series is a procedural with five 50-minute episodes, set against the backdrop of a paradisiacal archipelago where a Homicide team solves a criminal case in each chapter. The series is starred by Natalia Verbeke and Ginés García Millán. Natalia Verbeke plays Naira Oramas, a lover of the islands and head of the Homicide team in Tenerife, with a strong character and particular methods. Ginés García Millán plays Luis Lacasa, a veteran and prestigious inspector from Madrid who is forced to move to the islands, an environment he resists for hating the heat, the sand, and the tourists. Luis Lacasa suffers from achromatopsia (a visual disorder that prevents him from distinguishing colors) and was suspended after a serious error in an operation. His partner Ramon takes him to the Canary Islands to distract him. During his stay, Luis is pushed to get out of his comfort zone and get closer to his daughter Jimena, a chef in Tenerife with whom he distanced himself after the death of his wife. On the last stop, at a resort on a small islet, a young man covered in blood throws himself off a cliff. This event prompts Lacasa to want to solve the case. To do so, he must collaborate with Naira Oramas, with whom he has very different methods. The series was shot in various locations, including Madrid and the Canary Islands. Production is by Buendía Estudios Canarias in collaboration with Plano a Plano Canarias. The direction of production is by Emilio Perea, the art direction by Purificación Adorna, and the photography direction by Víctor Tejedor Navares. The writers' team is made up of Enrique Lojo, Nano López Moure, Pablo Manchado and Nerea Gil, with Fran Carballal as Script Coordinator.
