On the morning of Thursday, November 27, 2025, Andrés Aldahir Gil Fuentes, a 19-year-old motorcycle rider, died after being involved in a traffic accident. The accident occurred on Calle 16, in the Monte Oscuro area, Pueblo Nuevo district.
Witnesses to the incident claim that the motorcyclist was traveling at high speed from Río Abajo towards the La Gran Estación shopping center. At the mouth of the cross street located a few meters from the scene, a vehicle was exiting. Apparently, the young man tried to swerve the car, but lost control and went into the ditch, hitting the motorcycle against the small access bridge to the residence.
The impact was so strong that the motorcycle rebounded and ended up in the ditch; the driver lost his helmet and died on the spot due to the impact against the roadway.
Units of the National Directorate of Traffic Operations (DNOT) of the National Police are already at the scene carrying out the corresponding procedures.
