Panamanian artist Sandra Sandoval is celebrating another birthday for her daughter, Kamila Yael Flores Sandoval, who today reaches the age of illusions, 15. This event has filled the artist with a whirlwind of feelings and emotions.

Following tradition, Kamila asked to celebrate her 15th birthday, which reminded Sandra that she never had a party herself because her parents couldn't afford such luxuries. "She tells me, 'Mommy, I want a quinceañera party,' and in my mind: 'they never even celebrated my baptism because we were very poor,'" Sandra shared.

Every 15-year-old girl's dream is to have her own party, and Sandra's daughter is no exception. "Just to let you know, I worked for my 15th birthday by singing in a village you had to get to on horseback, and at 4 in the morning, a cold set in that forced me to cover up with the speaker covers. That's why I value my effort so much… 'We'll see, honey.'" The artist confessed that she is still "thinking whether or not to throw the 15th birthday party".
