On December 10, the murder of 23‑year‑old Ángel Castillo occurred in the Buena Vista corregimiento, Colón province. The victim’s body was found on December 13 in the Los Lotes community, in a state of decomposition, along a riverbank where shots had been fired three days earlier. Following the investigation, four suspects – “Reyner,” “Ore,” “Perco,” and “Cosi” – were arrested on charges of homicide and illicit association for wrongdoing. The case is being handled by the Homicide and Femicide Section courts of Colón and Guna Yala, which aim to uncover the motives and determine the accused’s culpability. Local residents are awaiting a fair and timely administration of justice.
