On the night of Friday, December 26, a 60‑year‑old man was wounded in an armed attack in the San Isidro community of the Cativá corregimiento in Panama’s Colon province. Several gunmen entered the residence, opened fire, and the bullets struck the man's legs before he fled into the darkness along the local streets.

The victim was taken to the emergency department of the new Dr. Manuel Amador Guerrero Hospital in Cristóbal Este, where he received treatment. National Police arrived at the scene, gathered evidence, and proceeded to the hospital to identify the perpetrators of the violent incident.
