Panama. On Monday, January 5, five subjects attempted to rob a mini-supermarket in the Villa Alondra community, in the corregimiento of Puerto Pilón, province of Colón. The thieves arrived suddenly at the business, but were met by the security guard who observed their suspicious attitude. It was then that the private security agent drew his firearm and fired several shots to dissuade them from committing the illicit act. This forced the thieves to flee in different directions from the Puerto Pilón corregimiento. In the midst of the situation, one of the thieves was caught. Agents from the National Police arrived at the scene to initiate the investigation of this attempted robbery by these criminals who intended to take the business's profits. The subject was handed over to the National Police and subsequently to the officials of the Public Ministry, who will initiate their judicial process for this crime.
