Late Friday afternoon, four people unexpectedly arrived at Limón Beach in the province of Colón on an emergency raft typically used for shipwrecks. Upon arrival, the individuals stated they were Colombian nationals and survivors of a shipwreck at sea.

All four presented severe cases of dehydration. Local residents witnessing the situation immediately notified the Justice of the Peace and agents of the National Aeronaval Service (SENAN). To execute the rescue, a boat was dispatched from the community of Miguel de la Borda.

The survivors were transported to the Miguel de la Borda Health Center to receive necessary medical attention. Authorities and security agencies have launched an investigation into the circumstances of the incident.
