Indeed, this group of Eagle's Nest graduates contributed to the country's development. Monument at the top of the Eagle's Nest. By Alberto Velásquez, journalist and public relations officer. On the night of February 5, 2026, 69 years passed since the graduation ceremony of over 350 young people, natives from all corners of Panama and some neighboring countries. That historic event was celebrated at the sports field of the glorious National Institute of Panama, cradle of revolutionary and patriotic youth. They were over 350 new high school graduates in science and letters, for whom the future held the opportunity to be whatever they wanted to be. From their classrooms came magnificent doctors, nurses, engineers, diplomats, teachers in all subjects, experts in various disciplines, and even poets and journalists, a President of the Republic, ministers of State, and ambassadors. A whole host of professionals who today are survivors of time and disease, puff out their chests proud of having been educators their entire lives. Eagles of yesterday and always, dare to tell today's educators to dignify our legacy and never give up in the fight for a better, free, and sovereign Panama.
