A serious traffic accident occurred this Friday morning on the Panama-Colón highway, involving a heavy-duty truck, a sedan, and a tanker. The incident affected all four lanes of this major thoroughfare. Initial reports indicate that a truck carrying a container had an accident during heavy rain. This happened in the San Juan area heading towards the city of Colón. Due to the impact, the container crossed into the opposite lane, obstructing traffic and causing disruptions in both directions. No fatalities were reported, although several vehicles suffered body damage. A crane and a wrecker were dispatched to clear the scene and restore circulation. It is presumed that wet road conditions and excessive speed may have been contributing factors to the accident.
