Models are indicating that we are going to have a good day. A forecast for one day, two days, up to three days is a good approximation. But what the models are saying at this moment is that we will have carnivals throughout the country, except for the Caribbean, because for them the dry season does not exist, she pointed out.
However, as we move further into the future, uncertainty increases. That we will have what is normal for the dry season, that is, absence of rain, she added.
Despite the positive forecast, IMHPA maintains permanent monitoring due to the continuity of the cold front season, which can modify the conditions.
Carnivals in Panama have been saved, since according to the latest analysis of climate models conducted by the Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology (IMHPA), there is a high probability of good weather for February 16 and 17 in almost the entire country.
Although winds cross the isthmus forming a natural corridor, at this moment moderate speeds of around 19 kilometers per hour are registered in the area, representing no risk, indicated the general director of IMHPA, Luz Graciela de Calzadilla.
The head of Meteorology assured that the conditions will remain stable, although it is expected that the winds will intensify on February 8 and 9.
A one-week forecast has a high level of uncertainty.
