From February 27 to March 16, LaPlaya Chiquita, in the Santa Isabel district of Colón province, will host the "Tribal Gathering Panama 2026," one of the most significant international cultural events. This gathering will unite indigenous communities from various regions of the planet in a space for exchanging knowledge, traditions, art, and environmental awareness. It is a cultural movement that promotes respect for indigenous roots, strengthens the identity of native peoples, and builds bridges between cultures, generations, and continents through immersive and participatory experiences. Over 18 days, attendees can participate in dawn ceremonies, educational workshops, artistic performances, indigenous art exhibitions, craft fairs, and intercultural dialogue spaces, all set on stages designed in the sand and surrounded by the tropical jungle and the Caribbean breeze. According to the Ministry of Culture (MiCultura), the funds raised will be allocated to the creation and maintenance of the Permanent Children's Dining Hall in the Valle Ñopo Indigenous Region, an initiative aimed at ensuring food security and well-being for Panama's indigenous children.
