The Omar Torrijos Herrera municipality, part of the Colón province, delivered a new park and central gazebo to the 'San José del General' community in Coclecito, located in the Costa Abajo district of Colón. Eulalio Yangüez Ruiz, the area's mayor, stated that this project was executed with funds from the 2025 Public and Social Works Investment Program (PIOPS). Yangüez expressed his hope that this new park will become a gathering space for families in the San José del General district of Colón. The new park is now envisioned as a hub for social interaction, recreation, and pride for the residents of Coclecito, who are promoting local tourism, one of its attractions being buffalo breeding.
