According to Commander Miguel Vaughan, during a check of the antennas, the theft of approximately 700 feet of Heliax coaxial cable was discovered. This component is essential for signal transmission between stations and internal frequencies. The incident disrupted the communication systems, which are key infrastructure for coordinating and responding to emergencies. Meanwhile, the head of communications for the Fire Department, Daniel Reyes Marín, stated that the necessary coordination has been activated to restore the service as quickly as possible.
