Their partnership will provide wide coverage for the 14th Panama International Film Festival, taking place April 9-12, 2026. The agreement aims to support local talent and ensure public access to high-quality cinematic productions.

The State Radio and Television System (SERTV) and the Panama International Film Festival Foundation (IFF Panamá) have signed a strategic exchange agreement. The objective is to strengthen institutional cooperation and promote the country's cultural identity. This alliance is focused on boosting the development of the audiovisual sector and ensuring the wide dissemination of activities linked to the 14th edition of the Panama International Film Festival, to be held from April 9 to 12, 2026. As part of its mandate, SERTV promotes technical assistance and cooperation with non-governmental organizations to foster valuable content. Director Dustin Guerra highlighted that this historic union allows projecting Panamanian talent to new audiences, reaffirming SERTV's role as an engine of visibility for the local film industry. In this context, the IFF Panamá Foundation positions itself as a key collaborator, being the entity in charge of supporting the festival and promoting social impact educational initiatives. The agreement establishes that the state institution will provide comprehensive coverage through its television, radio, and digital media platforms. This synergy will allow the festival to transcend cinema halls and reach young audiences and communities across the national territory, showcasing national and regional productions. A celebration of cinema open to the public During the signing ceremony, Karla Quintero detailed that this edition will feature approximately 40 films from various continents, with a special focus on Central American and Caribbean cinema. The program includes free screenings, industry networking spaces, and various training activities.
