A fire reported this Saturday, April 11th night in Punta Chame, sector El Líbano, affected several containers with waste and flammable material. The Fire Department reported that the emergency was reported as a fire in multiple containers. Colonel Ricardo Gibbs indicated that at least three containers were burned. These contained hydraulic oil, so containment maneuvers were performed to prevent the spread. In turn, Major Yair Ruiz pointed out that the event also included a brush fire in the area where the containers were located. According to initial reports, up to 10 containers could have been affected. At the time of the report, two were in the process of being extinguished. The operation involved units from several stations, with the support of firefighting vehicles, an ambulance, a rescue team, and a water tanker for water supply. The work remained in the cooling and verification phase to prevent re-ignition of the fire.
