The Ciudad del Saber Foundation has opened for the fourth consecutive year the call to apply for the Ingenia Cultural Fund, a support and investment mechanism in the creative and cultural sector of Panama. The main objective of this fund is to support projects that promote social change through innovation and citizen participation.
The Ingenia Cultural Fund stands out for providing not only financial support but also logistical, operational, and follow-up assistance to the selected projects. It is the only competitive cultural fund of its kind that is held annually in the country, serving as an important tool for the development and promotion of culture in Panama.
The projects presented must address themes such as culture and social innovation, the history of Panama and Ciudad del Saber, intangible and tangible heritage, gender, biodiversity, environmental issues, Sustainable Development Goals, and inclusion.
The winning projects of the Ingenia Cultural Fund will not only receive funding but will also have the opportunity to carry out their proposals within the Ciudad del Saber campus, in a space of 120 hectares dedicated to culture and education.
Among the selected projects for the 2023-2024 period are "Palenque Afrodisíaco" by Afrodisíaco, "Los juicios" by Enrique Castro Ríos, and "Invasión de 1989" by Infonimados.
