Over the years, the Radiothon in support of the Operation Smile Foundation has been carried out consistently, adapting to the circumstances of the country, even during the pandemic. This solidarity event originated in 2013 with the purpose of providing aid to the aforementioned foundation. The first edition of the Radiothon took place at the El Dorado shopping center.
During each edition of the Radiothon, significant funds have been raised to support the work of the Operation Smile Foundation in Panama. In the words of one of the organizers, the importance of citizen collaboration for the success of this initiative was highlighted: "The community has shown year after year its great generosity and commitment to this noble cause."
The positive impact of the Radiothon has been noticeable in the lives of many children and adolescents who have received specialized medical treatments thanks to the resources collected at this charitable event. Additionally, the bonds of solidarity and mutual support within Panamanian society have been strengthened. Undoubtedly, the Radiothon continues to be one of the most relevant actions in the humanitarian work of the Operation Smile Foundation in the country.
