The social security system for health care of Panama (Caja de Seguro Social - CSS) has launched a new procurement process for the purchase of various medications for a total amount exceeding 4 million balboas. The process concerns medications such as Azitromicin, Natriya benzylpenicillin, Factor VIII, Zolpidem, which remained unused after the first tender.
According to an official statement, the new procurement procedure was announced due to the fact that previous attempts were completed without results. It is planned that the purchased medications will be used to provide necessary medical services and care for seriously ill patients.
One of the highlighted aspects of the new process is the inclusion of principles, prices, and deadlines, as well as participation from various suppliers. CSS expects that the new procurement attempt will be more successful and will effectively ensure the necessary medications.
"We are working to ensure the swift and seamless completion of this procurement, in order to avoid a deficit of necessary medical preparations," noted in CSS.
This step is part of the efforts of the Panamanian government to provide the population with quality medical services and accessible medications.
