Authorities remain hopeful of finding the missing person in the coming hours. The elderly man, who suffers from Alzheimer's, was last seen in the San Pedro del Espino corregimiento, in the province of Veraguas. The operation has been joined by a team of eight rescuers, as well as local community members, who are concentrating in the wooded area where the man was last sighted. Support from units of the Fire Department and the Red Cross is expected to join the rescue efforts.
