Dr. Manuel Amador Guerrero Hospital, located in the province of Colón, will open to the public on December 5th, once all administrative procedures and technical permits necessary for its operation are finalized.
The hospital, considered one of the most modern health facilities in the region, will feature state-of-the-art technology and is designed to efficiently serve both insured and uninsured individuals.
The medical center will have over 470 hospital beds, 13 operating rooms for general and specialized surgery, 87 medical consultation offices, 4 delivery rooms for obstetric care, and 492 parking spaces.
"Opening a hospital involves completing numerous administrative procedures. The infrastructure consists of seven interconnected buildings, each with four floors, which will optimize patient flow and ensure their comfort," the statement reads.
The director general of the Social Security Fund (CSS), Dino Mon Vásquez, explained that the hospital's start of operations had been delayed due to the need to obtain specific permits, such as those related to radiology equipment, the pharmacy setup, and other key procedures to ensure its proper functioning.
"There are equipment that emits radiation and must have the corresponding permits; there are also aspects related to the pharmacy and internal procedures that must be ready for the center to operate properly," Mon Vásquez stated.
Additionally, it will offer care in 14 specialties and 25 subspecialties, including general surgery, dermatology, cardiovascular surgery, neurosurgery, proctology, and urology.
