During the inspection, along with the Animal Welfare department of this district, it was verified that the dog was sick and without assistance in a place that does not meet the conditions for its proper care.Panama — A malnourished, sick dog with skin problems causing the loss of most of its fur was rescued this Tuesday by units of the Environmental, Rural and Touristic Police Service.The poor animal was kept tied up and neglected in a workshop located on La Fula Street, in the San Isidro sector, San Miguelito district.Thanks to a complaint made through social networks, where the state of abuse in which the dog was kept in the workshop was publicized, the authorities learned of its case and acted."So far this year, the National Police, through the Environmental, Rural and Touristic Police Service, has rescued 226 domestic fauna animals," indicated the entity."None had vaccination control," assured the National Police.The dog was transferred to a veterinary clinic, while the person responsible for the animal was summoned before the Peace Judge, after they were explained the reason for the officers' visit and the content of Animal Abuse Law 70.It was also verified that four dogs were kept in the place, while another one was loose.
