The Social Security Fund (CSS) of Panama reported that it will invest $91,979,892 for the supply, storage, transport, and delivery of 348 lines of chemically synthesized medicines over a period of 15 months. This is Single Price Tender No. 15, which was held on 01-2026 with the objective of guaranteeing a continuous supply at the national level. The CSS highlights that the "Single Price" model allows for setting uniform prices for all CSS implementing units nationwide, thus enabling the acquisition of a larger quantity of medicines at a better cost while maintaining quality. The institution states that 57 companies participated in the event, demonstrating a transparent, open procedure with clear rules that promote competition. The included medications cover treatments for common and chronic diseases such as hypertension, type 2 diabetes, dyslipidemia, asthma, depression, anxiety, infectious diseases, allergies, and others. The CSS points out that this procedure ensures a timely supply of medicines and guarantees that insured individuals receive their treatments without interruption.
