Panama – The December holidays will be the saddest for a 17-year-old mother, who found her 16-day-old baby dead while preparing to breastfeed. This tragic event occurred yesterday in a home located in Cerro Punta, district of Tierras Altas (Chiriquí), on the road leading to the sector of Las Nubes. Medical and nursing personnel from the Cerro Punta Health Center arrived at the scene, who confirmed that the infant showed no vital signs, so the Public Ministry carried out the body recovery. It is presumed that the case may be related to sudden infant death syndrome, as the baby died for an inexplicable reason, but this will be confirmed by the necessary autopsy.
