In the first phase, the services of the Emergency Room, laboratory, pharmacy, and administrative area will be enabled. The inauguration was attended by Manuel Zambrano Chang, Vice Minister of Health; Algis Torres, regional director of Health of San Miguelito; Yeniley Crespo, medical director of the Policentro; deputies and representatives of the district, as well as officials from the Ministry of Health, community boards, and the community. The new Policentro de Salud will offer services of family medicine, pediatrics, gynecology, obstetrics, electrodiagnostics, dentistry, pharmacy, ambulatory operating room, and observation beds for adults and children. The progressive opening of the other services will be announced in a timely manner so that the population can approach and receive early, safe, and quality care. With an investment of $35,199,839.66, this Tuesday the new Policentro de Salud de San Isidro, located in the Omar Torrijos district, in San Miguelito, was delivered. This project, which has been delayed for over 10 years, will benefit more than 250,000 residents of the sector and neighboring communities. According to the Ministry of Health (Minsa), this nine-story building ceases to be just a health center to become a Policentro, capable of offering more complete, specialized services in line with the population's needs. "Starting today, these doors open so that you will no longer have to travel long distances in search of medical care," stated Minister of Health Fernando Boyd Galindo, on behalf of the President of the Republic, José Raúl Mulino. "The times when this center operated in precarious conditions and in reduced spaces are left behind," expressed Boyd Galindo. In addition, it will offer specialties such as psychiatry, ophthalmology, psychology, dermatology, early stimulation, physical medicine, and rehabilitation.
