Deputy Castrellón emphasized that this project represents an important step for the social and educational development of the region. "For years, families had to travel long distances to receive medical care," the post reads. The ceremony was led by Congressman Eliecer Castrellón and attended by hundreds of people who celebrated this milestone, considered historic for the region. During the 2026 Tolé fair, the official order to proceed with the construction of the CIAES (Center for Research and Advanced Studies) was presented. The rector explained that the project will positively impact more than 12,000 people in the district and neighboring areas, improving their access to health and education. In addition to medical care, CIAES will also strengthen the training of new professionals and research, with a focus on the realities of the interior of the country and vulnerable communities.
