The Board of Directors of the Social Security Fund (CSS) approved a transfer of funds amounting to 12 million 758 thousand 960 dollars. These funds will be allocated for the purchase of surgical supplies and contrast media for radiology. This measure aims to meet the growing demand for surgeries in the country.

This additional amount will expedite the procurement process of the necessary supplies for performing surgical interventions. The CSS board has emphasized the importance of ensuring a continuous supply of these materials to improve care for patients requiring surgeries at the institution's facilities.

In this regard, the president of the CSS board stated: "It is essential to have the necessary resources to promptly attend to patients needing surgical interventions. With this transfer of funds, we aim to improve the response capacity of our health services and ensure the quality of care provided."

The approval of this additional budget reflects the CSS's commitment to strengthening its operational and management capacity to meet the health needs of the Panamanian population.
