In recent years, there has been an increase in cases of patients with diabetes across the country. In response to this growing need, the Social Security of Health (CSS) has announced the distribution of around 42 thousand glucometers in various regions of Panama.
This initiative aims to facilitate the constant monitoring of blood glucose levels for diabetic patients, allowing them to maintain more effective control of their condition and make informed decisions regarding their treatment.
According to statements from CSS representatives, the distribution of these glucometers represents an important step in the care and management of diabetes in the country. This measure seeks to improve the quality of life for patients and reduce complications associated with this chronic disease.
"Access to monitoring devices like glucometers is essential for the care of diabetic patients. With this initiative, we hope to foster greater awareness about the importance of regularly monitoring blood glucose levels and promoting healthy lifestyle habits among the population," a CSS spokesperson stated.
