The Social Security Fund (CSS) issued a statement indicating that the entity is fully collaborating with the authorities in the investigation to ensure the prompt recovery of the 40 9-millimeter pistols and 4 shotguns that were under custody, as well as bringing those responsible to justice.
According to the institution, as soon as they became aware of the incident, the established security protocols for such situations were activated and the competent authorities have already begun the necessary investigations. The CSS is implementing additional measures to strengthen the security of its facilities and prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future.
"We deeply regret the inconveniences that this situation may cause and reaffirm our commitment to the safety of employees, affiliates, and the community in general," says the statement.
In the words of the CSS: "Let it not end like Fentanyl: CSS says it is collaborating with the investigations regarding the weapons taken from the entity."
