The National Civil Protection System (Sinaproc) recommended that the population of the Panamanian Caribbean remain alert to the recommendations and measures issued by security agencies due to the issuance of a warning for strong waves.

According to the notice issued by Sinaproc, an increase in wave height is expected on the Caribbean coast, which could pose a risk to the local population and tourists in the area. Residents and visitors are advised to stay informed through official channels and follow the authorities' instructions.

"It is important for the population to be alert and take the necessary precautions in the presence of strong waves in the Panamanian Caribbean region. We ask everyone to remain calm and follow the recommendations of the authorities to ensure everyone's safety," stated a Sinaproc spokesperson.

In light of this situation, bathers and fishermen are advised to take extra safety measures and avoid going into the sea if conditions are not favorable. Additionally, residents in vulnerable areas are urged to be prepared and have a contingency plan in case evacuation from the area is necessary.

Sinaproc will continue to monitor the situation and will issue updates as necessary to keep the population informed and safe in the presence of strong waves in the Panamanian Caribbean.
