The National Police, in collaboration with the Public Ministry, carried out a search and seizure operation at a Pacific port, during which a suitcase containing 31 packages of presumed illicit substance was seized. These drug packages were hidden inside a container coming from Colombia and were headed to El Salvador.
According to reports, no arrests were made in relation to this discovery. The case, along with the confiscated evidence, was handed over to the relevant judicial authorities to begin the appropriate investigations.
Once again, these joint actions between the National Police and the Public Ministry reinforce the commitment of Panamanian authorities in the fight against drug trafficking and organized crime in the region.
***"This important seizure is the result of coordinated work between our institutions responsible for ensuring safety and enforcing the law," stated a spokesperson for the National Police.***
