Panamanian authorities conduct Operation Emperor, dismantling underground networks for the sale of ammunition and weapons, with five apprehended. Citizen security is guaranteed.


Operation Emperor: Combatting Organized Crime

Investigations continue under Operation Emperador, led by the First Prosecutor's Office Against Organized Crime, with the aim of strengthening the judicial process and clarifying the facts. This operation demonstrates the strong commitment of the authorities in the fight against the illegal sale of ammunition, illegal possession of firearms, and in ensuring citizen security.

As part of this operation, under the actions of the Firmness Plan, SENAFRONT and the Public Ministry conducted search and seizure raids in the Tortí District. During these actions, firearms, ammunition of different calibers, cell phones, contraband cigarettes, and cash were seized. Additionally, five individuals were captured, including four Panamanians and one Asian.

According to the authorities, during the operation, records of ammunition sales and other evidence pointing to illicit activities in the region were confiscated.
