Combined Operation Panama-Colombia Capture of Criminals

The Minister of Security of Panama, Frank Abrego, revealed that a joint operation is currently underway between the National Border Service of Panama and the Colombian army. In this operation, citizens of both nationalities, belonging to the criminal group Clan del Golfo, operating in the border area between both countries, have been arrested.

According to Minister Abrego's statements, this joint operation is aimed at dismantling the operations of Clan del Golfo in the border region. So far, several members of this criminal organization, both Panamanian and Colombian, have been captured.

Clan del Golfo is known to be one of the most active criminal groups in the border area between Panama and Colombia, primarily dedicated to drug trafficking and other illegal activities. Cooperation between the authorities of both countries is essential to combat the presence of this group and ensure security in the region.

"This joint operation demonstrates the commitment of Panama and Colombia in the fight against organized crime and drug trafficking in our region," said Minister Abrego. Authorities continue to work on the arrest of more members of Clan del Golfo and on dismantling their criminal networks in the border area.
