
The Public Ministry and the Judicial Investigation Directorate (DIJ) have launched an investigation into an incident in which an individual shot at the office of the president of the Supreme Court of Justice of Panama. Fortunately, there were no injuries reported in the attack.
The shooter, whose identity has not yet been revealed, approached the Supreme Court building in Panama City and opened fire on the president's office. Although there were no casualties, the event caused shock and concern in the area.
"We are treating this case with the seriousness and urgency it requires. It is unacceptable for such violent acts to be perpetrated, especially in such a symbolic place as the Supreme Court of Justice," stated a spokesperson for the Public Ministry in a statement to the media.
Authorities are reviewing the security cameras in the area to try to identify the perpetrator and clarify the motives behind the attack. So far, no arrests have been announced in relation to this incident.
