Ratification of Officials in Panama

The National Assembly resumed the ratification process of State officials with the approval of the directives of the Panama-Pacific Agency and the Social Security Fund.

In the case of the Panama-Pacific Agency, the appointment of Engineer Eloy Javier Lever Young as a board member representing the business sector was ratified. Meanwhile, for the directive of the Social Security Fund, Marelissa Lisel Quintero Velásquez was approved as the main representative and Yania Tamara Frías Tang as the alternate, both representing employers.

The ratifications were carried out after the new members of the respective boards passed the scrutiny of the Credentials, Regulations, Parliamentary Ethics, and Judicial Affairs Commission, fulfilling the review process of their professional backgrounds.

It is noteworthy that these decisions related to the ratification of the representatives on the boards of the Panama-Pacific Agency and the Social Security Fund are part of the usual procedures of the National Assembly.
