At the port of Vacamonte, the theft of several firearms has been reported at the facilities of the National Aeronaval Service (Senan) barracks. The information was provided by the Arraiján Police Intelligence Section. It is noted that the facilities do not have security cameras, except for one camera belonging to the Maritime Authority.
Lieutenant Jerónimo Domínguez, in charge of Group B, reported that at 05:00 hours, when the staff who had been resting woke up, they discovered that their service weapons, including pistols and a rifle, had been stolen. Faced with this situation, they immediately notified their superiors.
In this regard, Domínguez added that, so far, it is unknown how the events occurred, as no signs were found indicating that structures had been breached to commit the theft. The police continue to investigate the incident in order to clarify what happened and recover the stolen weapons.
