Capac Rejects Violence in Construction Sector

The union that brings together entrepreneurs in the construction sector in the country has rejected violence and has refused to be considered "complicit" with the Suntracs union.

In a recent statement, the Panamanian Chamber of Construction (Capac) expressed its firm condemnation of any acts of violence that have occurred in the context of recent protests. The association highlighted its commitment to dialogue and the search for peaceful solutions to resolve conflicts in the construction industry.

"We categorically reject any violent acts that take place during the demonstrations and want to make it clear that at no time have we been or will we be complicit in actions that threaten the integrity of individuals or property," stated a Capac representative.

The association pointed out that, despite the differences that may exist between entrepreneurs and construction workers, mutual respect and the willingness to find points of agreement are fundamental for the sustainable development of the sector.

Amid the labor tensions that have arisen in recent weeks, Capac called for calm and reiterated its willingness to engage in dialogue as a mechanism for resolving conflicts in a peaceful and constructive manner.
